Dead Ideas Day.
Advertising Festival
Dead Ideas Day is a festival dedicated to all creative proposals that were killed by the client. It was inspired by holidays that pay respect and remember the dead - Dia de Los Muertos, Halloween, the Bulgarian Zadushnitsa etc.

The subject is of death and unsuccessful pitches is sombre and one that evokes feelings of sadness and anger in professionals. But as the festival is actually a celebration of creativity and means to bring ideas back to life we opted for a cheeky, impish tone-of-voice. All of it revolves around terms related to passing away and death in general but is ironically morbid, making light of the subject of ideas that never made it to the public. It also plays on words with tens of idioms that include similar vocabulary and references popular works of art on the subject.

In just a couple of months we've created hundreds of copies for the website, paid ads, organic social media content, POS, print, out-of-home, merchandise etc.
Including a possible first in the history of advertising – using 'exhume' as a call-to-action.
